Dr. Michael Catlett, Senior Pastor
Michael Catlett has served with McLean Baptist Church since September 1990. Michael is a graduate of Emory University where he received a PhD in
Old Testament studies. An adjunct professor at
The John Leland Center for Theological Studies, Michael enjoys the opportunity for dialogue and discussion regarding the journey of faith with folks inside and outside of the church. Susan and Michael have been married for more than 34 years and have two children, Erin, a graduate of The College of William and Mary, and Ruth, a student at George C. Marshall High School. In his spare time Michael enjoys golf, reading and writing. Michael and the congregation share a
wonderful relationship that allows him to be who he has been called to be.
McLean Baptist Church is a place of great freedom and diversity, and it is a place that Michael is proud to call home.

Rev. TRISHA MILLER MANARIN, ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Rev. Trisha Miller Manarin began her ministry at McLean Baptist in 2005, though she took a two year hiatus from 2009-2011 while her family served in Kampala, Uganda. Trisha has served churches, associations, and state conventions in Indiana, Alabama, and Pennsylvania. She has also had the privilege of serving in Africa and Asia. While living in Zambia, Trisha met her husband Tim, also an ordained minister. A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Trinity Baptist Church of Philadelphia ordained her to the Gospel Ministry. Tim and Trisha have three lively children – Peter, Nathaniel and Maggie. Family is a great source of joy for her! She is a graduate of Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (now Palmer Seminary) and Samford University with a degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance. Trisha also completed a basic unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. With a great passion for the local church and a heart for the world, Trisha enjoys seeing lives transformed by the power of God -- joining people on the faith journey while being on mission together!

Rev. Tom Lynch, Associate Pastor for Children and Youth
Tom Lynch began his service at McLean in March of 2011. He holds a Master of Divinity from the John Leland Center for Theological Studies as well as a Certificate in Youth Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. Tom earned his BA in Communication from Michigan State University in 2000.
He is a 12 year youth ministry veteran and has also served as an associate minister, as a college ministry director, a Capitol Hill staffer, and in educational administration for the John Leland Center as Director of Admissions. He enjoys the opportunity to speak to large groups of teenagers as well as train lay leadership in youth work. Tom volunteers as a Justice Advocate for the International Justice Mission working to combat the injustices of modern day slavery and serves on the Board of Directors for the Network for Theological Education.Tom has been married to his wife Lore (pronounced Lori) for eight years and they have a one year old son named Joseph. He enjoys traveling and swing dancing as well as a good theological conversation focused on how the Church might better join in God’s story. The Lynches reside in Arlington, VA.

Mr. Ray White, Minister of Music
Ray White was born and raised in Maryland and currently lives in College Park. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park and The Catholic University of America, where he earned master's degrees in musicology and library and information science. Ray has been with MBC since 1996.
Ray began his church work at the First Baptist Church of Hyattsville, where he served in a variety of positions. He was the Minister of Music there for more than 15 years. Ray is an active singer in the Washington area, and has performed with many local groups, including the Maryland Choral Society, the Wolf Trap Opera Chorus, the Washington Bach Consort, and the Virginia Grand Military Band.
Ray has worked in the Music Division of the Library of Congress for more than 20 years, where he now serves as a Music Specialist in the Acquisitions and Processing Section and Curator of the George and Ira Gershwin Collection.

Ms. Suellen Skocki, Ministry Assistant
Suellen Skocki coordinates and schedules church events, maintains membership records, and oversees mailings. She prepares the Weekly Newsletter and Worship Folder.
Suellen grew up in Oak Harbor, Ohio and is a graduate of The Ohio State University. Suellen is married to Stan Skocki and has two sons.
Suellen is a member of McLean Baptist and a member of the Joyful Noise Handbell Choir.

Mr. Al Malayeri, Financial Ministry Assistant
As ministry assistant in finance to the church,
Al Malayeri is responsible for all financial transactions done on the computer, including accounts payable, payroll, contribution records, general ledger, budget, and financial reports.
Al Malayeri has been a member of Herndon
Baptist Church since 2006. His working
background has been in accounting and bookkeeping for more than 12 years.
He met his wife Betty in 2001. Al enjoys reading and walking—not necessarily at the same time.
