Hurricane Relief in Pearlington, Mississippi

pearlington, ms

Since 2006, after Hurricane Katrina, MBC has sent groups of missioners to Pearlington, Mississippi for an extended weekend of rebuilding.

The eye of Katrina passed directly over Pearlington and it could take a total of 10 years to restore the area. In 2006 the missioners got one church well on its way to being able to hold Easter services and started repairing another church. Many houses have been repaired each trip.

Habitat For Humanity

MBC sends groups of volunteers to participate in the construction of homes for needy families in the Northern Virginia suburbs. Some days food is provided for the workers at the HFH worksites.
