Making a contribution
to McLean Baptist Church
You may make contributions to the church in many
ways.
Here are your options.
Direct Bank Transfer
You can authorize your bank to send your monthly contribution electronically to the church’s account. This is similar to the way you can automatically pay other household expenses. You will need to obtain the church account number and ABA or routing number from the Administrator (703-356-8080) to complete the forms at your bank.
Automatic check
You can authorize your bank to generate and mail a check from your account on a monthly basis, payable to McLean Baptist Church, 1367 Chain Bridge Road, McLean VA 22101
Use your credit card via PayPal
The fee charged to us for this service is 2.9%, so you might consider including this in your gift. You will get credit for the full amount you send (before fees are deducted).

Donating appreciated stock has several advantages.
In addition to the charitable tax credit, you pay no capital gain tax and no commission for the sale. Obtain the necessary transfer numbers that your broker will require from the church administrator dbullach@mcleanbaptist.org (703-356-8080). When the transfer occurs, notify the administrator so the shares can be liquidated and the proceeds credited as you direct.
Your contribution record from the church will show the net value received by the church after the sale. You claim charitable gift credit for the value of the stock on the day it is transferred, however, so request and retain a transaction record from your broker. This is the figure you will use for tax purposes.
